Clyde Joy was a very popular country singer throughout the New England Area in the 1960s. This heartwrenching song about the plane crash that killed Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Cowboy Copus and pilot Randy Hughes was recorded sometime during the sixties. Clyde and Willie Mae lost their Son LCpl Clyde Joy 9/17/1969. He was killed in action in Vietnam while proudly serving his country.

 

Clyde Joy passed away on January 19, 2009 at the age of 92. He will be missed by all that knew him and all that enjoyed his music.
