  I Promise To Remember

  Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers

Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers were one of the most popular R&B R&R groups of the 1950s. Their smash hit song "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" is a classic to this day. They had hit after hit during the 1950s and "I Promise To Remember" was one of their better songs of the time. I mean who could top a better doo-wop start for a song than "whooly papa cow papa cow papa cow cow whooly papa cow papa cow papa cow cow"

This was truly one of the greatest doowop r&r r&b groups of all time.

Sadly Frankie Lymon passed away on Feb 27, 1968 of a drug overdose after struggling for many years unsucessfully to regain his popularity of the mid 1950s.
