Bad Boy
The Jive Bombers
Savoy SJP-6915

The Jive Bombers' "Bad Boy" (written by Avon Long and Lillian Hardin Armstrong, wife of Louis Armstrong from 1924-1938) was this group's only charting hit, it peaked at number 36 on the pop charts and number seven on the R&B charts in 1957. This classic has been re-recorded by a number of artists, including Ringo Starr, Sha Na Na, and many more. This song has an interesting history starting back when it was originally recorded by Lillian Armstrong as "Brown Gal" back in the 30's. A search on google will reveal its interesting past.
