Gerry Granahan

NO CHEMISE, PLEASE a novelty song about a style of dress worn by the ladies in the mid to late 1950's that was not particularly popular with the guys. The song peaked on the Billboard Charts at position number 23 in 1958. Gerry also sang lead in the very popular 50's group "Dicky Doo and the Donts" who had a string of hits in the late 1950's. He also sang with the Fireflies (You were mine).

Gerry Granahan had several hit records as a singer and songwriter, he produced a string of hit songs by people like The Angels and Patty Duke. Up through the end of the 1960's, Granahan was quite influential in the east coast pop-rock scene.
