Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart

I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight

In 1965 Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart wrote the theme song for the daytime soap opera "Days Of Our Lives" it remained the theme song for 30 years.

In 1967 they had a number 8 hit song on the charts with "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight". Though it had the same name it is an entirely different song than the "Barry And The Tamerlanes" song which was a hit in 1963.

This would be their only hit song though they wrote many hit songs for other singers over the years such as "Come A Little Bit Closer" by "Jay And The Americans", "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" by "Paul Revere and The Raiders" to name just a few. Boyce and Heart were considered one of the most prolific song writing teams of all times.

Sadly Tommy Boyce suffered a brain aneurysm in 1993, from which he never fully recovered. He shot himself to death due to his declining health on Nov 23, 1994 in Nashville Tn.

This is another one of those great oldies from the 1960s that gets little airplay these days.
