Faye Adams went number 1 on the R&B charts on February 6, 1954 with her terrific followup to Shake A Hand called I'll Be True. This was one of those early rockers that had young people dancing from coast to coast in the Metropolitan areas of the country during that year. Faye Adams was certainly one of the early pioneers of Rock And Roll music. Alan Freed often referred to her as "The little gal with the big voice". Faye Adams introduced the world to Soul Music with her huge voice and wonderful way of delivering an uptempo song or a bluesy ballad..
